Egg Press is a letterpress (and sometimes screenprinting) print shop which specializes in creative and adorable greeting cards, baby tees, and posters. Started by designer extraordinaire Tess Darrow exactly 12 years ago, Egg Press now lives in the gorgeous, brick Schoolhouse Electric building and employs an expert team of printers and other creatives. Besides designing and printing a seriously impressive array of cards for every possible sentiment and occasion, Egg Press also does custom work for weddings, announcements, and anything else you can think of! Almost all of the paper used at Egg Press is tree-free (cotton-based paper) and they do a stellar job of recycling just about everything they can, in the hopes of making environmentally friendly printing an industry standard. They recently partnered with Schoolhouse Electric and Adam Arnold (talk about a dream team..) to create some unique and wonderfully Portland-esque slip covers, which will soon be available through Schoolhouse Electric's new retail space.
